Godrej Expands into Pet Food Market with Ninja Brand and Strategic Investment Plans Announced.

Godrej Consumer Products has made a significant foray into the pet food market with the launch of Godrej Ninja, a new brand under its subsidiary Godrej Pet Care. Initially introduced in Tamil Nadu, Godrej Ninja offers scientifically formulated dry dog food designed to enhance gut health and immunity. The product contains 37 essential nutrients, including vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, and probiotics.


Godrej Pet Care plans to invest Rs. 500 crore in the pet care sector over the next five years, which includes setting up a manufacturing facility in Nashik with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes. The Indian pet care market, valued at Rs. 6,000 crore, is expected to experience double-digit growth, driven by increasing pet ownership.


Robert Menzies, CEO of Godrej Pet Care, highlighted the company's long-term commitment to the sector, leveraging expertise from Godrej Agrovet and Godrej Consumer Products. Godrej Ninja is available in three pack sizes, with prices starting at Rs. 20 for the 100g pack. The brand aims to expand nationwide after establishing a strong presence in the southern market.
