A Loyal, Playful, and Loving Companion Who Completed Our Family
We are a family of five – Father (Rajeev. G), Mother (Lavanya. G), Daughter (Pranathi Sree), Son (Shreyas), and of course, OREO – the heart of our home.
Oreo was born on November 1st, 2022 and was adopted by a family when he was just a month old. However, when the family welcomed a baby, they found it difficult to manage both the baby and the puppy. That’s when Oreo’s destiny brought him to us. He was four months old when he arrived, and from the moment he stepped into our home, he filled it with joy and unconditional love. My son, Shreyas, had always dreamt of having a husky as a brother – Oreo was the perfect surprise! That day, our house was full of cousins, and everyone welcomed Oreo with open arms and warm hugs.

Choosing a name for him became a fun family event. Many names were suggested, but none seemed to suit him. Then, looking at his adorable black patches that resembled Oreo crumbs, I proposed the name OREO—and it instantly clicked! Everyone agreed, and our little black-and-white bundle of joy was officially named Oreo.
The initial months were challenging as we adjusted our lifestyle to meet Oreo’s needs. The first year was filled with endless pukes, poops, and vet visits. Our extended family initially warned us about the responsibility and sacrifices involved—missed holidays, family functions, and more. But none of that mattered; Oreo became the center of our world. Slowly, even our extended family, who weren’t dog lovers, grew attached to him. Especially my nephew, Sathwik, formed a deep bond with Oreo. They light up whenever they see each other—a connection that’s truly heartwarming.
Oreo has his quirks. He’s a picky eater who prefers home-cooked meals over packaged food. He’s also particular about his toys, favoring a select few. Like most dogs, he finds endless joy in playing with plastic bottles. But what makes Oreo truly special is his emotional intelligence. He senses when we’re stressed or upset and instinctively comforts us. He follows me everywhere—whether I’m moving from one room to another or leaving for work. He even understands the difference between going to the office, school, or visiting his grandparents—his favorite place to be.
